Time Change

Ben Franklin was not thinking about my kids when he suggested Daylight Saving Time. I can only hope that they will be so exhausted that they go to bed tonight at a normal time and be back on schedule. Junior was up at 5:15 ready to go this morning and was ready for a nap at 9. That makes for a very long afternoon with him.

Cats last night was wonderful! The girls were still talking about it this morning, but Abbie told me that they spend too much time talking about a "jellical life" and she didn't like that. I tried to explain that it was the point of the story, but she still thought that it should have been excluded.

I am in no way ready to leave on Friday. We have so much to do to get ready for my mom and to get the girls ready to go as well. It has to come together! Junior is going to daycare on Tuesday so I am hoping to crank out a lot of stuff.

I'm getting my legs waxed on Wed. Ouch! I'll have to recuperate from that during my manicure and pedicure.

I finally found a pair of sunglasses that I looked and fit my face. I have a really hard time finding something that I like.

Jessie--I'm so tired that I promise, in honor of you, I will sleep in one day while on vacation!

Jelly making

The grapes are boiling and we will be making jelly on Sunday if everything goes right. We might be overloaded with grape jelly especially since my children will not eat peanut butter sandwiches anymore.

While we were on vacation we would often stop for sandwiches at the road side parks since it was so expensive to feed 7 hungry people. It also allowed the children time to run around and exhaust themselves before we set out again in the car for another few hours. For the most part we served peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and then just plain peanut butter sandwiches after we forgot to put the jelly back in the cooler. My children are so tired of peanut butter they won't eat it anymore. I wonder if we scarred them for life.
