Wordless Wednesday

This is DH holding Junior right after he was born. He looks small but he was 10 lbs 1 oz. My husband was home on R&R from Iraq and Junior was born two days after he arrived. DH returned to Iraq when Junior was 13 days old until he was just over 5 months old.

That shirt is adorable They have them here for BJACH babies, but I don't remember what they say or looked like since it was a friend's baby. Thanks for explaining. I know it's gotta be hard for them not to be there when they are born and then to miss so much of their little lives. My husband's biggest fear is that once we start a family he will have to deploy. For now we know he will deploy, so we're trying not prevent that, but you how it is on a military installation. I think they put something in the water.

I love the angle of the photo. Most people would have backed up to get all of "daddy" in every shot. Just baby and hands is so powerful.
