What next you ask?

Tonight we got home late and Abs ran to the bathroom. She came out and wanted to tell her dad about what she saw in her poop. Em started shrieking about how gross she was, and Gunner didn't want to hear it either. Of course being the mother that I am, I wanted to hear all about it.

And what did she see?

Gold star? No.

Acorn? No.

White worms? Yes.

I figure she has pinworms. I am disgusted. My poor little baby. So from the research she needs medication. Of course she is seen in Temple and her doctor doesn't work on the weekends. One of the drawbacks of keeping her with a civilian. So tomorrow morning I will send Gunner off to the er with Abs to get medication. I really should be mean and make him take all three kids, a bottle of sanitizer, some snacks, and make a day out of it--goodness knows I have done that almost every weekend he was gone!

UPDATE:
Well we did the scotch tape test after Abs had fallen asleep and sure enough, it is pinworms. Poor little girl. It was really gross. I think A Soldier's Wife is right, I am sure we will laugh about this.....one day.

Do you know how many adults never even look at their poop? Abs is way ahead of them. Thank goodness she looked! These are readily passed from one person to another. WASH your hands and keep them out of your mouths, kids.Stop biting your nails, Abs.

I'm glad she looked and that she told you about it....hope it all gets taken care of quickly and that no one else is affected...

Gracious...just one more thing to laugh about.....someday.

The things us military spouses have to handle on our own. When I hear about things like these I do every superstitious thing I can think of to be able to avoid it. Good luck with this!

Oh no! Poor Abs. Hopefully that will clear up real soon.

Oh, you sooo should have sent Gunner on his way with all the kids!!! lol.... I hope that it all gets cleared up soon. If I were you I would be on "poop patrol" and check all of the kids just to be safe.

I hope you all got a pill to take? Yes it is gross and painful at night when they come out, super gross! I was hoping that Gunnar's two weeks would be so relaxing and no er visits. I hope you are all enjoying having him around.

Hi! I stumbled upon your blog today and wanted to say it sounds like you have your hands very, very full. Glad the husband is at least home to help with this one!

Oh Poor Abs. Good thing she looked or you would have never known. Glad she's got her medicine. You guys have been through a lot lately. Aren't you glad Gunner is home even if it is for a few days?

Poor dear. We had that at my house. It is no fun. Make sure you wash all the blankets on her bed. I even vacuumed the mattress. Those are sneaky little boogers. You might want to check the other kids too. I am sorry. I feel your pain. I am glad your hubby is home.

Ha! I think that it's great that he is there to witness the "joys of parenthood!" Taking one is punishment enough, but I'd save the other as a threat ... that should get you something good!
