Why oh why

Since the dawn of man, my husband has been paid once a month.

They are changing that and I was informed that they will require EVERYONE to get paid twice a month.

Why mess with a good thing. I like knowing it all comes at once and I have to make it last all month long. It's a game to me, and the more I end up with at the end of the month, the happier I am. Maybe I'm the only one?

You're not alone! I have ranted and raved to my hubs for months now like he can do anything about it! I've been trying to revamp the budget & move the payments around accordingly and it's such a pain.

Being paid twice a month or every two weeks is normal on the outside, maybe that is their reasoning. When I was in it really didn't matter since I only received $54.00 per month and $36.00 of that went for a Savings Bond.

You are not the only one. In January we went from getting paid once a month to every two weeks. We too enjoyed the challenge of making it last all month

My company used to do once a month until 7 years ago. I miss that. I bet if you took a survey that most places don't do monthly anymore.

Everyone was happy to go bi-weekly because they would get a "bonus" check twice a year on long months. I would rather have the money each month.

We have several areas that just changed to once a week. I guess they have to keep up with the people who can't manage money.
