Saturdays

My inlaws dropped off our German breakfast. Yum.

We went to a wellness day through Scott and White, and it was pretty informative, and it was a great group of ladies that I got to spend some time with. One of them looked so familiar and it turns out that Junior and her daughter are in the same daycare and her son will be at the same school with the girls next year. Of course once they got the kids back together with the parents and served pizza, all the kids were busy eating....except mine, who decided it was time to cry. Junior was tired. Abs drew a picture that wasn't perfect....the list went on. Finally got them fed and watered and home. Junior's nap was heaven and I even got to sleep a little.

This afternoon we headed over to the new Target. I actually went there because I was looking for something, but the rest of the Killeen was there to check out the new facility I think. There's not a whole lot to go on in Killeen, so a new store or restaurant apparently requires the attendance of all. I can't wait till Barnes and Noble opens. I also saw that Cracker Barrell is coming along, and there will be a Chipotle. Not the healthiest of choices, but any kind of new choice in restaurants is welcome here! I'd love to get a good mexican restaurant.

No word from Gunner. At the meeting today, some of the wives heard from their husbands every day, and one more than twice a day. A friend of mine will freak out if her husband doesn't call at least every three days, and call the FRG leader. Someone asked me why I don't freak out more....umm.....what is there to freak out about? Please tell me I am not the only one that doesn't wait by the phone or curl up and die inside if they don't hear from their spouse. (Gunner, if you are reading this, ignore the previous paragraph, I am waiting by the phone with bated breath for your phone call, and I spend all day worrying about you and declaring my undying love for you. lol You know how I really feel. :)

How many other wives are lucky enough to have 3 kids, a husband in Iraq and now a new teaching job?\

More mailings coming your way next week.

Congratulations on your job. I knew it was coming. How many other teachers know "bated?" You would be surprised . . .

Just read a blog from a CEO who "poured" over documents.
--sigh--

Chipotle is not that bad. Go for the burrito bowl. Also coupons for a free burrito (which they will likely hand out) can be used on the bowl. The chips and guac are first class if in the "bad" category.

If we ever meet, I have some outlaw stories, so you have my sympathy. Maybe we can do lunch in SAT sometime.

I know its different b/c he's not in the sandbox but i gotta be honest and I feel like I can say this to you, I dont wait for a phone call when he's gone. Even when he was gone for six months a little while ago, life just goes on with my little havoc wreckers! I know he's working hard and in his own little world and quite frankly it works out well. I get irked eventually but what good does it do to get constantly worked up over that... I got enough issues!

Mmmmm on the cracker barrel. And so exciting a new target. I'm not even kidding about that....

Better the soldiers don't get worried because their home counterparts are getting upset. Let them concentrate on their jobs.

Really??? A cracker Barrell? I wil be in heaven then. Plus the Barnes and Noble I will probaly go to the day it opens. I am waiting a few weeks before I head into Target. I don't like crowds to much and the drive from home is not worth the gas with all those people around. :)

Why is it that good resturants come AFTER I leave?!?! I love Cracker Barrell and Chipotle's would have been wonderful! Is it a SUPER Target?
As far as sitting at home and waiting, I'd go insane! That goes back to the saying "a watched pot never boils". I do worry about him, but I'm just peachy as long as there's no one knocking on my door! Congrats again on the JOB!!!

Sounds like you all are moving up in the world. I'm from a town that seriously has a Sonic and Taco Bell and that's it, so anything more than that and I'm scratching my head trying to make a decision where to go lol.
