Cutting Losses

I'm the type of person that takes on a lot, and puts up with a lot.

I'm tired of doing it.

I'm simplifying.  My life.  My house.  My environment.  Everything.

I won't be investing time in any projects that are not going anywhere, friendships that are one-sided, and even cooking meals that I know my children won't eat.

I will quit worrying about everyone else and focus on what is most important.

Lack of time=lack of desire.

I will make the time for those things that are most important to me, and will without regret, release those things that I can't be bothered with or change.

I'll go to bed earlier, get up earlier, and hopefully be able to hit the 5 am spin class.

I'll purge my house of everything that doesn't make me smile or serve a purpose, regardless of who gave it to me.  (Don't worry mom, I won't get rid of anything you gave me)

I'll be prepared for this deployment.

I plan on finishing all these books I have accumulated and then passing them on.

I will laugh more, smile more, and worry less.

Remind me of all of this in a week.

Thank you for the congrats!!! We're really excited! I'll try to remember to remind you, just come and look at all our boxes then you'll remember hahaha, and the pile of donate stuff I'm sure to find in the trailer from TX

That sounds like advice I really need to take. I'll see if I can remember it in a week. I'm beginning to think I'm suffering from early onset alzheimers. Although that may just be the stress thing going on. Wishing you lots of perseverance. :)

I love your motivation. I'm a goal setter so this might be something I copy on my blog tonight. :-)

This sounds like something I need to do also. I really need to purge my house. Since the weather is changing, maybe I will too.... (only, the gym on the housing base isn't open or have classes at 5am. and so not driving to the main base that early lol)

This is great advice! I'm trying to simplify things, too. (In fact, I'm in the midst of a big spring cleaning!)

This is a great post, totally inspiring. I love that you approach life with such a positive (most days, LOL) outlook ... I am generally a glass-half-empty person, and you remind me that even if the glass might be half empty, it IS still half-full. I hope you were able to stay that positive at least for a little while, and if you want someone to forward your books too, you can email me for my address, LOL! I read everything that has printed text on it, without prejudice, so your books would find my place to be a happy home.
