Anyway....
It's Family Movie Night on Fox, this Saturday, January 8th, at 8/7CST.
“CHANGE OF PLANS” SYNOPSIS
Up to this point, Sally Danville’s life has played out just as she hoped it would. As a beautiful and free-spirited musician, she and her fighter-pilot husband, Jason, live life on the go, free of domestic responsibilities. But with a single phone call from Child & Family Services case worker, Dorothy (Phylicia Rashad, “The Cosby Show”), she learns that things don’t always go according to plan. Sally (Brooke White, “American Idol”) is met with the news that her best friend from college has died in a tragic accident on a Peace Corps mission and has named Sally the legal guardian of her four kids – 3 of them adopted from third-world countries. Now Sally and Jason (Joe Flanigan, “Stargate Atlantis”) must quickly learn to parent this instant family and help the kids deal with the culture clash of life in America. The story is both humorous and heartwarming, revealing how fulfilling life can be when you look beyond your own plans and invest in the lives of others.I'm a sucker for a movie that pulls at your heartstrings, like all those Hallmark made for tv movies. Surely I'm not the only one!
Now for the good stuff! I'm allowed to offer to my readers, a giveaway of a cute fleece blanket, like the one shown here (ummm....the cute but dirty dog is not included, and they are sending you the blanket, so yours would be clean whereas mine will be washed tonight after Abs tucked it around Sammy. Forgive the blurry picture as I still have not found my camera charger. I'm convinced it is around the next corner!).
In addition to the blanket, you get THREE movies that have previously been P&G/Walmart movies for Family Movie Night--Secrets of the Mountain, Jenson Project and A Walk in My Shoes. (I linked to the trailers, and wish I had seen them all, they look great!)
All you need to do is leave a comment, and let me know what you do for Family Night at your house! I'd love the ideas! I will draw the winner on Sunday, January 9th, 2011! Good luck!

When my husband isn't deployed we try to have family game night with the Wii or a board game. Other times we watch movies with popcorn or go out to eat.
Most of the time, our family nights mean making homemade pizzas and eating while watching a movie together.
It's funny that you ask seeing how we just enjoyed our Wednesday Family Night tradition last night. On our Family Night the kids are in charge and choose what they would like to do last night was Hide-N-Go-Seek. We almost didn't do it, but my hubby broke out the cane and hobbled to his hiding places.
We let the kids choose what they would like, be it a board game, a restaurant, a movie, baking something, a wii game (four players have to be able to play),dance parties, whatever.
When daddy was deployed we would make videos for him, make pictures or cards, or even have a photo-shoot.
Get creative. Since my husband was injured we have had to cut back on some of the more physically demanding activities (bike riding, flashlight tag, walking to parks and having picnics), but he's getting back to his old self and we are having more fun than ever.
The big favorite around here is this XBOX 360 game called "You're in the Movies" Our 7 y.o. can play that thing for 5 hr straight. I like it, though because it gets her up and moving.
We dont have kids so sometimes my husband and I will go to my grandma and aunts house to watch a movie. Usually she makes something for dinner and dessert. Its fun! The last movie night movie? Eclipse! Yes even grandmas watch the Twilight movies :D
It just depends. We love the Wii and we get very competitive, but sometimes it is a game of Rumikub or baking cookies.
Thanks for sharing about the upcoming movie. I may have to put that on my DVR list.

PS - You will find the cord when you buy another one. That's what happened with me.
Great giveaway! Our family likes to watch movies. Sometimes we play games like Scattergories or You've Been Sentenced!
Our family varies each week for family night. Some weeks we play board games and others we go with electronic games. We also love to curl up on the couch and watch good movies together.
It's always something different. This week we went to Pizza Hut and played football in the yard. During the spring and fall months we have campfires in our backyard and let the kids stay up late. Summertime finds us out on our boat swimming and fishing. This winter has been mild so we've been playing catch outside and also playing Big Game Hunter on TV. Our sons love the Cow Pie in the Sky game where you try to shoot as many cowpies in a minute as you can :)
usually we order pizza make popcorn and watch a movie we all like or play board games shellyk
For family night I take my dog and hide in my room with an online movie and fatty snacks. I shut out the rest of the family and pretend they're not there. I'd love a new blanket.
On family night we play Mario on the wii or watch a redbox movie

We normally try to do a movie night with the kids but since we got the Wii for Christmas we've been spending a lot of family time doing that.
